The Marbury Bulldogs suffered their biggest loss since November 27, 2023 on Saturday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 55-31 walloping at the hands of Pike Road. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Marbury has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Marbury lost, one person who can't be blamed is DJ Graham. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Hall, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Marbury has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which lines up perfectly with their 4-12 record this season. As for Pike Road, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-13.
Marbury's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pike Road at 12:00 p.m. on January 28th. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Jordan Holmes and Graham.
