Having just played yesterday, the Life Center Academy Warriors will jump right back in to play the St. John-Vianney Lancers at 5:20 p.m. on Sunday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
On Saturday, things could have been worse for Life Center Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 74-60 loss to Morris Catholic.
The losing side was boosted by Kiyomi McMiller, who scored 30 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. She scored a full 50% of Life Center Academy's points, the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Karma Payne was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. John-Vianney gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against Dr. Phillips by a score of 58-51.
Life Center Academy now has a losing record at 4-5. As for St. John-Vianney, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Things could have been worse for Life Center Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 75-57 loss to St. John-Vianney in their previous meeting back in January. Can Life Center Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
