The Leipsic Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Allen East Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Leipsic suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They were the victim of a tough 68-42 defeat at the hands of Patrick Henry. Leipsic has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Allen East was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 56-52 to Crestview. While losing is never fun, Allen East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 440th, while Crestview is ranked 152nd).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Carson Clum, who scored 14 points along with nine assists and three steals. Clum is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Young, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Leipsic's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Allen East, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
