The Woodsboro Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Kenedy Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Woodsboro focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday.
Last Friday, Woodsboro came up short against Three Rivers and fell 56-47. Woodsboro has not had much luck with Three Rivers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jordan Garcia, who scored 13 points. Layton Jochetz was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Kenedy also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Skidmore-Tynan by a score of 55-48.
Woodsboro bumped their record down to 8-20 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Kenedy, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.
Woodsboro came up short against Kenedy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 56-48. Can Woodsboro avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
