The Wilmington Christian Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Freire Charter School Wilmington Dragons on Tuesday, sneaking past 67-63. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps rankings' forecast.
The victory improved Wilmington Christian's record to 7-10. The loss dropped Wilmington back to even at 8-8.
The Warriors will take on St. Andrew's on Thursday. St. Andrew's is also tiptoeing in after a close one, winning 55-51 over Tatnall. Wilmington will take on McKean on Thursday at home. Like Wilmington, McKean is looking to wash their mouths of the taste of defeat after falling 92-52 to Dickinson.
