Volleyball Recap: Western Has No Trouble Against Buena Park

Western won the last time they faced Buena Park and things went their way on Thursday too. Everything went the Western Pioneers' way against the Buena Park Coyotes as the Western Pioneers made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pioneers.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11, 25-16.

Stephen Gross paced Western's offense, picking up 15 kills. Gross also shared the team's lead in assists with Nathaniel Dumangas: they picked up eight each. Joshua Rojas- Hernandez controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Western's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Buena Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Western will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Hawthorne Math & Science Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Buena Park, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Glenn at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
