The Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Gretna East Griffins at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Gretna East took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lincoln Southwest, who comes in off a win.
Even though Lincoln Northeast scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, Lincoln Southwest still came out on top. Lincoln Southwest took down the Rockets 70-56. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lincoln Southwest.
Lincoln Southwest relied on the efforts of Karter Chamberlain, who scored 12 points along with two steals, and Braden Frager, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Jaxyn Cruse was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Gretna East's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Waverly 48-43.
Lincoln Southwest's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Gretna East, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
