On Saturday, the Denver West Cowboys were able to grind out a solid  victory over the Frontier Academy Wolverines, taking the game  33-25. The  matchup marked the Cowboys' most dominant  win of the  season so far.

Denver West's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Shukri Hussein, who  dropped  a double-double on 12  points and 13  boards. Those 13  boards gave  Hussein a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Heaven Martinez, who  posted two  points along with nine  boards and three  blocks.
 Denver West was working as a unit and  finished the game with 11  assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Frontier Academy only racked up five  assists.
 Despite the  loss, Frontier Academy had strong showings from  Aaliyah Richardson, who  had eight points in addition to nine  boards and seven  steals, and  Emily Gesick, who  dropped  a double-double on ten points and 11  rebounds.
Denver West now  has a winning record of 3-2. As for Frontier Academy,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-3.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Denver West will welcome Conifer  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Frontier Academy and Valley will compete for holiday cheer  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
