The Maclay Marauders's game last Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against North Bay Haven Academy by a score of 43-30. For Maclay, this counts as revenge for the 64-42 defeat North Bay Haven Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2021.
Lauren Guyer continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Maclay's points. Molly McDonald was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Maclay pushed their record up to 13-6 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for North Bay Haven Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maclay and Leon will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. North Bay Haven Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against South Walton at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th. South Walton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North Bay Haven Academy in Florida (South Walton is ranked 207th, while North Bay Haven Academy is ranked 532nd).
