Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sturgeon). Everything went their way against the Madison Panthers on Monday as they made off with a 17-2 win. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Sturgeon's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Sturgeon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-1 win against New Franklin on the 8th. As for Madison, they will be playing at home against Pilot Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
