Hawthorne came tearing into  Friday's  contest with three straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy  34-16 win over the Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers.

Hawthorne's record now sits at 7-1. As for Melbourne Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
