After flying high against the Pinon Eagles on Tuesday, the Round Valley Elks came back down to earth. Round Valley took a 57-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Show Low on Thursday. Round Valley lost against Show Low in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 54-47 score last time.
Show Low found their leader in underclassman Hadlee Dazen, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Bigos, who scored 9 points.
Round Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Show Low, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Round Valley will take on Greyhills Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Show Low won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Chino Valley at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st.
