After four games on the road, Pinecrest Academy Cadence is heading back home. They will take on the Cheyenne Desert Shields at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Pinecrest Academy Cadence is ranked 23rd, while Cheyenne is ranked 43rd).
Last Saturday, Pinecrest Academy Cadence blew past Cristo Rey St. Viator, posting a 67-26 win on the road.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pinecrest Academy Cadence to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeremiah Combs, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Tookes, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Cheyenne had to suffer through a rough 71-36 loss at the hands of Mojave. Cheyenne has not had much luck with Mojave recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cordae Feazell, who scored 10 points. He scored a full 27.8% of Cheyenne's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Alex Boston, who scored 8 points.
Pinecrest Academy Cadence now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Cheyenne, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
