Mountain View won the last time they faced Boise and things went their way on Friday too. The Mavericks enjoyed a cozy 34-20 victory over the Brave. The Mavericks' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Henry Nelson produced another solid effort throwing for 189 yards and three touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Mountain View's defense and their eight sacks. Boise's QB won't forget Riggins Stoor anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Mountain View received some extra help from Mason Garcia, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Several Brave players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Logan McDonald, who rushed for 100 yards on only 12 carries.
The win got Mountain View back to even at 3-3. As for Boise, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
