Mountain Valley recap September 10, 2013
Biggs moved up to 805 from 1,016 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Mountain Valley. The Wolverines were able to make move up by beating Fall River 34-16.
Chester was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to second in the league. The Volcanoes defeated Quincy 20-14 earlier in the week.
Hunter Morris was a passing and rushing force as Chester topped the Trojans. He completed 7 passes for 164 yards and also ran for 145 yards. Morris' favorite target this week was David Estacio, who caught 6 passes for 154 yards.
Morris was the most successful running back in the league this week. Eddie Perez also contributed to the rushing game with 17 yards on the ground.
CALEB MELTON was a key player and the best on defense this week as Biggs beat the Bulldogs. He.
BLAINE ROLES put up the best numbers through the air as Ron Carr's team defeated Fall River. He finished with a total of 4 completions for 59 yards and 2 touchdowns. ROLES's favorite target this week was NATHAN CALLAWAY, who caught 2 passes for 25 yards.
Estacio was the best wideout in Mountain Valley this week as Terry Hernandez's team defeated Quincy.
The Volcanoes and Tom Goss' team played the most contested game in the league this week, with the Volcanoes eventually emerging with a 20-14 victory. Morris during the win.
