If The Rimrock Raiders were feeling good off their 64-32 takedown of the Wilder Wildcats two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Rimrock was beaten by Idaho City 60-20 on Friday. Rimrock lost against Idaho City in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 68-50 score last time.
Rimrock's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ronaldo Gomez, who rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.
Rimrock's loss was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-2 Notus and 6-2 Rockland (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.9% over those games). As for Idaho City, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
Rimrock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Idaho City will head out on the road to face off against Kamiah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kamiah will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
