In a game that featured the nation's No. 1 recruit - Antioch running back Najee Harris - it was another running back that stole the show.
Ronnie Rivers carried 42 times and ran for 389 yards and seven touchdowns in a 65-28 win for Freedom over Harris's Antioch team. Rivers' performance is one of the highlights in this week's National High School Football Stat Stars.
Marc Zeckser of Doniphan-Trumbull came close to breaking the state rushing record for Class C players as he ran for 432 yards on 26 carries. The record is 464 yards, which is also the state overall record regardless of division.
The Oaks Christian-Newbury Park contest had two quarterbacks make the list as they combined for exactly 1,000 yards. Matt Corral of Oaks Christian threw for 529 yards while Cameron Rising of Newbury Park threw for 471.
