The Allendale-Fairfax Tigers had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.2 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They snuck past Bamberg-Ehrhardt with a 56-52 victory. Allendale-Fairfax's victory was all the more impressive since the Red Raiders were averaging only 27.09 points allowed on the season.
Several Red Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carmyn Folk, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Folk scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Raven Brown, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Allendale-Fairfax pushed their record up to 14-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5.
Allendale-Fairfax will be playing at home against the Buccaneers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, they will head out on the road to face off against the Mohawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
