Franklin Parish (Winnsboro, La.) defeated Delhi Charter (Delhi, La.) 47-12 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Marcus Bingham touchdown run in the second quarter, the Patriots led 35-6 at the half.
Franklin Parish expanded its lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. FP's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown run by Laborde.
A 29-point second quarter helped the Winnsboro school secure the big victory. The Patriots rushed for four touchdowns on the ground during the quarter, including two by Bingham.
Bingham stood out for Franklin Parish in the win. The junior running back ran for two touchdowns.
Will Zeigler made a difference for the Gators. He ran for one touchdown.
FP came into the game allowing 16.1 points per game.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Patriots came away with a 36-6 victory.
Franklin Parish (7-1) goes up against Neville in a 4A District 2 game matchup next week, while Delhi Charter (2-6) locks horns with Tensas in a 1A District 3 game.
