It was a good run, but the Taylor Titans unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a hard 51-36 fall against Lewis Cass. Taylor has struggled against Lewis Cass recently, as their match on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Connor Binnion, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Keyshawn Galloway, who scored ten points.
Lewis Cass was led to victory by Bryce Rudd and L.j. Hillis. Rudd scored 17 points, while Hillis scored 16 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rudd has scored all season. Brennan Deeter was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Taylor's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4. As for Lewis Cass, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor will take on Sheridan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sheridan will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Lewis Cass, they will head out on the road to take on Maconaquah at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Maconaquah has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 909 points over their last 12 matches.
