The Centennial Hawks won the last time they faced the Deming Wildcats, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Centennial simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Deming 52-19 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Centennial has managed all season.
Centennial was led to victory by Mikai Schuette and Ozias Aguilar. Schuette scored 14 points, while Aguilar scored 11 points along with seven assists and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Keaton Petermeier, who scored five points along with six steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Centennial and bumps their season record up to 5-7. As for Deming, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.
Centennial will be playing in front of their home fans against Roswell at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Deming, they will head out on the road to face off against Gadsden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
