The Aquinas Falcons waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Arrowhead Christian 72-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Aquinas has posted against Arrowhead Christian since April 9, 2021.
Aquinas got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Igor Masalov out in front who scored 22 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. John Odiambo was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
The victory got Aquinas back to even at 10-10. As for Arrowhead Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
Aquinas won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Great Oak at 3:00 p.m. on January 13th. As for Arrowhead Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Ontario Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Ontario Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
