St. John Paul II found their leader in underclassman Aliyah Medrano, who scored 21 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Medrano scored 15 or more points. Ashlyn Naumann was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Wewahitchka's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-13. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.5 points per game. As for St. John Paul II, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
