The Linn Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 63-51 to Cuba. Linn was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cuba apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2018.
Linn's loss came despite strong showings from Gus Peters and Noah Hall. Peters scored 15 points along with four steals, while Hall scored 21 points along with five assists. Hall scored a full 41.2% of Linn's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Zach Hatfield, who scored eight points.
Linn bumped their record down to 2-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cuba, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Linn will take on Belle at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cuba will be home for the holidays to greet Stoutland at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Stoutland has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 304 points over their last four matchups.
