Even though the Wheatland Bulldogs have not done well against the Buffalo Bison recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Wheatland slipped by the Bison 48-47. The win made it back-to-back wins for Wheatland.
Despite the loss, Buffalo still got an impressive performance from Eli Patterson, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine steals. Another player making a difference was Cam Johnson, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Wheatland's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Buffalo, they dropped their record down to 6-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wheatland's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Herders at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Glenrock is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Buffalo, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Trailblazers at 4:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Hopefully Torrington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Friday.
