The Riverwood Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They greeted the New Year with with a 61-44 victory over King's Ridge Christian. The victory was some much needed relief for Riverwood as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
It was another big night for Lizzie McGrath, who scored 22 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for her. May Weis was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
The victory got Riverwood back to even at 6-6. As for King's Ridge Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverwood will take on South Cobb at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Cobb is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for King's Ridge Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Atlanta International at 6:00 p.m.
