Football Recap: Oceanside Collegiate Academy Piles Up the Points Against Battery Creek

Oceanside Collegiate Academy got themselves on the board against Battery Creek on Friday, but Battery Creek never followed suit. They took their game with ease, bagging a 45-0 victory over the Dolphins. The result was nothing new for the Landsharks, who have now won five contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Oceanside Collegiate Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zakhi Muncey out in front who rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Terence Johnson was in the mix as well, providing the Landsharks with two scores.

Oceanside Collegiate Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.8 points on average over those games. As for Battery Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Coincidentally, Oceanside Collegiate Academy and Battery Creek will both be playing Orangeburg-Wilkinson the next time they take the field. The Dolphins will host the Bruins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Landsharks will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 31st.
