Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Parker Henderson and David Cannon Lead Johnson Ferry Christian Academy to Victory

Johnson Ferry Christian Academy hadn't done well against Cherokee Christian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Johnson Ferry Christian Academy Saints walked away with a 78-67 victory over the Cherokee Christian Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-57 back in December of 2024.

Leading Johnson Ferry Christian Academy to victory were David Cannon and Parker Henderson. Cannon went 9 of 17 on his way to 21 points, while Henderson went 6 for 11 en route to 18 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Those 21 points gave Cannon a new career-high. Daniel Shaw was another key player, going 6 of 8 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Johnson Ferry Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in five consecutive matchups.

Johnson Ferry Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game.
