Affton dropped down to 4-2 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 18-7 to the Windsor Owls. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Owls when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Kaleb Moran put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. Moran was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Dylan Meissner and Luke Eichhorn did some serious damage despite the final result: Meissner went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Eichhorn got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base was Eichhorn's first of the season.
Windsor's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-10. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Like Affton, Windsor also got a great game from a two-way player: Casen Siegel. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Siegel has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Lincoln Forchee was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Skyler Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Affton will head out to square off against Pattonville at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Windsor, they will challenge Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Owls' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
