Sanger is 9-1 against Edison since June of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Apaches are taking a road trip to challenge the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Sanger is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Sanger will head out to face Edison after giving up their first home loss of the season on Monday. The Apaches lost 10-4 to Bullard. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Apaches, who until this contest were averaging 2.13 runs allowed.

Brea Poindexter stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one double. Another player making a difference was Aundrea Orosco, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Edison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Madera.

Lauren Jones was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Camacho, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Sanger, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 17-6.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Sanger hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Edison struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Sanger beat Edison 6-3 in their previous meeting last Tuesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Apaches since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
