The Edgemont Moguls's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 67-18 loss at the hands of Hay Springs. Edgemont has struggled against Hay Springs recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Edgemont lost, one person who can't be blamed is John Heisler. Despite the final result, he scored five points along with three steals.
Dylan Young was his usual excellent self, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals for Hay Springs. Young hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Gage Mintken, who scored 15 points.
Edgemont dropped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Hay Springs, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgemont won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hemingford at 5:30 p.m. on January 27th. Hemingford has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Hay Springs, they will be playing at home against Hyannis on Friday.
