The Hutchison Sting pushed their score all the way to 64 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 76-64 to Center Hill. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Tuesday (55), Hutchison still had to take the loss.
Center Hill got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zarria Shipp out in front who scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Shipp has scored at least 25% of Center Hill's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jairya Rankins, who scored 24 points along with 3 steals.
Hutchison's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Center Hill, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hutchison will take on Marion at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. As for Center Hill, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Hernando at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. Hernando is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
