Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wagon Mound). They blew past the San Jon Coyotes 96-14 on Thursday. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Trojans had established a 67 point advantage.

Wagon Mound was led to victory by Eugene Armijo and Josiah Vasquez. Armijo dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds, while Vasquez went 13 for 18 on his way to 30 points and three steals. Armijo has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Alex Valdez, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.

Wagon Mound smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Wagon Mound's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for San Jon, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13.

Wagon Mound didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-39 defeat against Roy/Mosquero on the 24th. San Jon has also already played their next matchup, a 32-26 loss against Clovis Christian on the 25th.
