West Bolivar took down O'Bannon 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Trevoris Hampton ran for 145 yards in the win.
Riverside led 2A Region 4 in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Marshall. Dillon Russell threw for 102 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 71 yards in the win.
Ray Harper was the best wideout in the league this week as the Bulldogs defeated the Tigers. Harper racked up three receptions for 62 yards. Brice Zeigler helped Riverside's passing attack out by catching one ball for 30 yards.
Hakeem Johnson was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 15 carries, he ran for 151 yards as South Delta beat Marshall. Terry Montgomery also contributed to the rushing game with 146 yards on the ground.
5-foot-11 quarterback Kylan Johnson of the Eagles is the league leader in passing yards this season with 639. He has also thrown four touchdowns. On the ground, the Bulldogs' Johnson has rushed for 1193 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Harper. The Riverside star has 18 catches for 285 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Green Wave take on South Delta. O'Bannon is currently in fifth, while Derrick Hooker's team is in first.
Simmons made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,081 from 8,661. The improvement was the result of 36-8 victory over the Blue Devils last week.
