Holbrook had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-3 to make it four. They lost 12-1 to the Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Roadrunners couldn't push the score so high this time.

Holbrook saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthias Montijo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Montijo has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
As for Blue Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. Considering they have won four matchups by more than ten runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
On Blue Ridge's side, Hunter Baskins made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave Baskins a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Justin Carpenter, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Christian Skousen was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Holbrook wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-0 defeat against Safford on the 21st. As for Blue Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-7 victory against St. Johns on the 20th.
