Even though the Alpaugh Buffalos have not done well against the Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Alpaugh walked away with a 49-42 win over Wonderful College Prep Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Alpaugh also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Alpaugh can attribute much of their success to Jesus Nunez, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 19 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Luis Vasquez, who scored 9 points.
Alpaugh's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Kings Christian the next time they take the court. Alpaugh will head out to face Kings Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, while Wonderful College Prep Academy will head out to face them at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday.
