Meanwhile, Hillsborough was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 49-43 to Wharton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hillsborough has scored all season.
Tampa Bay Tech's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3. As for Hillsborough, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
