After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Henning, the Sebeka Trojans were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 76-41 win over Laporte. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for Sebeka this season.
Sebeka's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jasper Hosey led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. Hosey is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Max Lake, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Sebeka's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Laporte, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-23.
Sebeka will head out on the road to square off against the Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bertha-Hewitt is on a four-game streak of home losses, the Trojans a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Laporte will take on the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine River-Backus aren't just struggling at home either: they haven't won a game anywhere since January 4th.
