The Fontainebleau Bulldogs lost against the Slidell Tigers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Fontainebleau received a tough blow as they fell 66-50 to Slidell. While losing is never fun, Fontainebleau can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while Slidell is ranked 44th).
Jaden Hookfin was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds for Slidell. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Bonnaffons, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Fontainebleau has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season. As for Slidell, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season.
Fontainebleau will be playing at home against Loranger at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Slidell, they will head out on the road to challenge Northshore at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Slidell is coming into the game with seven straight victories on the road, meaning Northshore will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
