Volleyball Game Preview: Cape Hatteras Hurricanes vs. Columbia Wildcats + How To Watch

Cape Hatteras has gone a perfect 10-0 against Columbia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Hurricanes will welcome the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Columbia took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Cape Hatteras, who comes in off a win.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Cape Hatteras and Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech, and Cape Hatteras kept the tradition alive. The Hurricanes were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Griffins on Friday. The Hurricanes have beaten the Griffins the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Griffins has come to flipping the script.

While Cape Hatteras won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-22.

Cape Hatteras' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Izzy Ross, who had eight digs and two aces. Those eight digs gave Ross a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Columbia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Bear Grass Charter, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-11.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Cape Hatteras, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
