Lincoln Southeast proved they can win big on Monday (they won by nine) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Lincoln Northeast Rockets 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Sawyer Hepburn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lincoln Southeast saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jon Moeller, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Lincoln Southeast picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 6-8. As for Lincoln Northeast, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Lincoln Southeast has already played their next contest, an 8-1 defeat against Lincoln Southwest on the 14th. As for Lincoln Northeast, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-1 win against Lincoln High on the 14th.
