The Natalia Mustangs had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Cotulla on Tuesday as Natalia made off with a 49-29 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Natalia, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Natalia to victory, but perhaps none more so than Yahdi Lujan, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Lujan is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Anaya Jones, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Natalia's win bumped their record up to 11-20. As for Cotulla, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 13 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Dilley the next time they take the court. Natalia will host the Wolves at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Cowboys will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
