The Pahrump Valley Trojans will take on the Virgin Valley Bulldogs at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Pahrump Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on Mater Academy East Las Vegas with a sharp 18-8 win. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Riley Saldana was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Gray, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.
Meanwhile, Virgin Valley got themselves on the board against Moapa Valley on Thursday, but Moapa Valley never followed suit. They blew past the Pirates 11-0.
Julia Leavitt made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over seven innings pitched. Leavitt was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ava Noel, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Raylynn Woods was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Virgin Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moapa Valley only managed two hits.
Pahrump Valley's record now sits at 25-9. As for Virgin Valley, their record is now 23-9.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pahrump Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .413. However, it's not like Virgin Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .507. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
