The Georgetown G-Men suffered their closest loss yet this season on Saturday. They fell just short of Clermont Northeastern by a score of 49-46. Georgetown has not had much luck with Clermont Northeastern recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Clermont Northeastern's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xaden Hunt, who scored 14 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hunt has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Connor Yeager, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Georgetown now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Clermont Northeastern, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Georgetown will head out on the road to challenge Bethel-Tate at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clermont Northeastern, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against East Clinton at 7:00 p.m. East Clinton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 751st, while Clermont Northeastern is ranked 279th).
