Highland is a perfect 10-0 against Ridgeview since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Scots will head out to challenge the Wolf Pack at 4:00 p.m. Highland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Highland took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Frontier by a score of 6-2.
Lilliana Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits.
At the plate, Janaye Phillips was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Koko Macedo, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Highland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 14-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Ridgeview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-10 heartbreaker at the hands of North. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wolf Pack have suffered since March 20th.
Highland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Ridgeview, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-17.
Everything went Highland's way against Ridgeview when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Highland made off with a 15-0 victory. Will the Scots repeat their success, or do the Wolf Pack have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
