Several Dragons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Another player making a difference was Damian Cervantez, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Valley Falls struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Jefferson County North pushed their record up to 5-1-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Valley Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Jefferson County North will be playing at home against Atchison County on Tuesday. Atchison County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Valley Falls, they will head out on the road to face off against Pleasant Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Pleasant Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 two weeks ago.
