Northmor is 8-2 against the Blue Devils since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Northmor Golden Knights will be playing at home against the Danville Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Northmor's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while the Blue Devils have been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Even though Cardington-Lincoln scored an imposing 57 points on Wednesday, Northmor still came out on top. Northmor took their contest against the Pirates 65-57.
Jax Wenger continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 22 points, ten rebounds, and nine assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Hammond, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Danville pushed their score all the way to 59 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 70-59 to Fredericktown. While losing is never fun, Danville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 823rd, while the Freddies are ranked 411th).
Northmor has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Danville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-16.
Everything came up roses for Northmor against the Blue Devils in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 79-46 win. Will Northmor repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
