The Prairiland Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 54-43 to Cooper. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Prairiland in their matchups with Cooper: they've now lost four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cooper to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bayleigh George, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Marilynn Wilkerson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 18 rebounds.
Prairiland's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Cooper, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.
Prairiland will head out on the road to face off against Rains at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Rains presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Prairiland in Texas (Rains is ranked 43rd, while Prairiland is ranked 714th). As for Cooper, they will be playing at home against Boles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
