Elmira is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Catholic Central is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Elmira Express will take on the Catholic Central Crusaders at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, Elmira strolled past Horseheads with points to spare, taking the game 61-42. Given Elmira's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Horseheads is ranked 452nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Catholic Central didn't have too much trouble with Lansingburgh at home on Saturday as they won 70-53.
