Seeger is 7-2 against Tri-County since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Patriots will face off against the Cavaliers at 11:00 a.m.
Seeger is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 18 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Bismarck-Henning on Tuesday. They lost 12-2 to the Blue Devils. The Patriots' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Ryder Hannon was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tri-County). They never let Faith Christian get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory on Thursday. The Cavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by nine runs or more this season.
Grayson Schneider was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyler Burns, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
Tri-County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Seeger's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Tri-County, their record now sits at 11-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Seeger has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Tri-County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Seeger came up short against Tri-County in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 8-4. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
